Today i would be introducing a brief introduction of Malaysian Federation of The Deaf. Have you heard of it ? Malaysian Federation of The Deaf or in short MFD is actually a self help national organisation that are run by the deaf people itself. MFD are lead by the associations all state level from Malaysia to work towards the mission and vision of giving a better lifestyle, providing services and bring together all the deaf people in Malaysia.

The Vision of MFD,

MFD wishes to create a community of deaf that are authority, competitive in terms of education, social economics and careers that are in line with the Malaysia's objective.

The Mission of MFD,

To expand energy in running and maintaining the position of the deaf community with maximizing the facilities that are provided by the Goverment and helps from the society.

Do you know that the logo of MFD has a deep meaning to it ?
The logo actually represents Family, House and lastly Corporation.

In MFD, everyone are treated as family no matter where they come from. When i was there with my team members, the people in MFD smiles at us even though we were there for a short period of time. We feel as if we're part of them from the warm welcome and smiles from them.

To the deaf people, MFD is like a second home to them. They don't only go there just for training but also to have a bonding with other people besides home in MFD. The staff of MFD are like mentor or parental figure to these deaf people especially the younger children and adults.

Lastly, besides than being a family and home to the deaf people. It is also a corporation where help and services are provided to the deaf. The deaf people also learn basic skills such as baking, crafting and so on to sell to the public.

Well that's all from us now. Stay with us for more updates ! Until then,

Bahasa Isyarat~

Bilamana terdapat komuniti orang pekak, bahasa isyarat wujud.

Semoga belajar!
